Sharpie markers are the recommended marker to use on Cage Tags.  
 
Your info stays on the tag until you are ready to remove it, with our Cage Tag Cleaning Sponge, or any melamine sponge.
 
Silver Sharpies are a "fun" way to record data on the dark colored tags such as the Purple and Red tags.
